Help Us Choose Our Charity for 2025/2026!

We’re looking for our next charitable cause to support - and we want your help!

Each year, our chosen charity benefits from the funds raised at our summer and winter concerts (typically between £500–£1,000 per concert).

If you know of a local charity, community project, or cause that would benefit, please nominate them below. We’ll shortlist 3 of your nominations, and then you, the public, will vote to decide our winner.

To be eligible, the cause must:

Be local to Warton, Freckleton, Wrea Green, Kirkham, or Lytham (or have a local branch).

Be run entirely by volunteers (no wages paid to staff, helpers, or organisers).

Be a registered charity, charitable cause, or community project.

Get nominating on Facebook (click the button below) and don’t forget to share the post with friends, family, and co-workers so they can nominate a cause close to their hearts too!

Together, we can make music matter.

Fundraising for Get Dan Home

This year, Warton Singers are proud to support the Get Dan Home campaign—a heartfelt mission to reunite a much-loved local boy with his family.

In late 2022, 13-year-old Daniel—an energetic, kind, and outgoing boy from a close-knit family—was suddenly diagnosed with a brain tumour after initially presenting with flu-like symptoms. What followed was a devastating series of medical emergencies, including multiple surgeries, a stroke, and months in intensive care. Once a vibrant scout, school leader, and budding performer, Dan is now non-verbal, reliant on a wheelchair, and requires 24-hour care.

Despite these challenges, Dan continues to fight with courage and resilience. He can recognise loved ones, smile, and is slowly making progress through a long course of chemotherapy and rehabilitation.

Why We’re Fundraising

Dan has not been home since November 2022. To be discharged, his family home must undergo major adaptations to meet his complex medical needs—this includes a specialist bedroom, bathroom, and space for carers. The estimated cost is £100,000.

Your support will help bring Dan home, where he can be surrounded by the love and care of his family—a vital step in his recovery and quality of life.

Join us at our performances, raffles, and fundraising events throughout the year to help make this dream a reality. Every donation, every ticket, every voice raised in song brings us closer to getting Dan home.

DIY SOS

Welcome Home, Dan!

We’re thrilled to share the incredible news that Dan is coming home!

Many of you will know that Dan and his family were recently supported by the team at DIY SOS, who undertook a full renovation of their home. It was an inspiring project, and we’re proud to say that our choir was there to support it every step of the way.

Several of our members volunteered on-site during the build, and the whole choir came together for the big reveal, performing to celebrate Dan’s return and to thank the amazing tradespeople and volunteers who gave their time and skills so generously.

It was a truly moving experience, and we feel honoured to have played a small part in something so meaningful. Moments like this remind us of the power of community, compassion and, of course, music.

Calling Local Charities – We'd Love to Support You

As a community-focused choir, we are passionate about giving back to causes that matter. Each year, we support local charities through our events and fundraising efforts, and we’re always looking for new organisations to partner with.

If you’re a local charity and would like to be considered for future fundraising opportunities, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch to tell us more about your work and how we might be able to support your cause.

Together, we can make a difference — one note at a time.
